Very simply, this program makes me look good! When other people are Googling for a conversion formula, I pull out my Palm TX, do a quick a tap-tap-tap on the screen and before anyone else can say "found it" Converter provides me with the desired converted results. Straight forward and simple to use, Converter, with it's small 27k footprint, has been a must have on my Palms since my first Palm IIIe! Besides, who doesn't mind looking good?

This application is truly excellent. It has a very simple and effective user interface that makes conversion fast and straight forward. Only a minimal number of taps is required... Converter can convert units in the following categories: acceleration, angle, area, clothing sizes, computer units, density, energy, flow, force, fuel consumption, length, numbers, power, pressure, radioactivity, shoe numbering, angular speed, linear speed, temperature, time, torque, volume and weight - it can convert virtually everything one could possibly need. The categories are pretty complete also; no units missing. Thus there are maybe hundred of two hundred (Or more? Never had the time to count them all...) units available for conversion. And all this is easily manageable...

This is a great program. It may be simple, and the interface isn't flashy, but it does tons of conversions... and it is free! Only takes up a handful of KB and is a must have. Only wish the icon was hi-res.

I've tried several conversion programs over the 4 years I've used a Palm PDA. Matt Marsh's Converter 2.2 has the best interface, is the most intuitive to use, and has a heap of conversions available. An outstanding piece of freeware if you need a converter.

This is a great app! I use it rather frequently. I would really like to see an on-screen keypad so I can tap out the values to convert rather than having to use Graffiti or FitalyStamp to enter them. I would also like to see Converter become a user-extensible program. All conversions amount to a multiplier and an offset, either of which could be zero. To avoid rounding errors, the multiplier could be expressed as a numerator and denominator. Nevertheless, all of the current conversions, and any new one's I might choose to define, will be just a set of such values. <BR> (There would, of course, be issues to resolve regarding how to map to all possible conversions. If you define how to convert from A to B, and there's a conversion from B to C, then Converter could convert A to C. The easiest way to do this might be to provide conversions between user-defined types and some standard type of that category, then Convertor can convert from a user-defined type to the standard type and then from the standard type to some other. If handled correctly, this should cause rounding problems.)

Very good utility for the mathematically challenged (such as myself), who cannot seem to remember the conversion factors off the top of their heads. FREE and USEFUL! Maybe M$ should take lessons from the author.

WOW! i finally have a reason to bring my visor to school. it has almost every conversion i can think of, and for the ones that arent in it, i'v emailed him to include them on the next version. best of all this is freeware. good work mat!

Easy to Load and Use.

Application: Although I have been impressed with the capabilities of what already comes with the Handspring, over the Palm, I wanted to check this out ? hey, it?s free. I am very impressed with the additional items available not found in the, already advanced, Handspring calculator. Since I am a computer technician I was happy to see the computer conversions available. All in all ? this is an awesome additional utility for anyone who wants a fast easy way to create/get conversions. Readme.txt: The .txt file could use some formatting changes because it doesn?t come up in the ?Notepad.exe? properly and I didn?t get it fully converted going through Excel.

It is an easy to use and very practical little nice program. One suggestion: could you please add acre and hecter under area. A lot of people outside of US do not know how to convert them. Thanks.

I cannot make this product work on Palm Pilot 5000 with OS 1.0.6, but the PalmGear page says any OS, any hardware

Great program - easy to use and a very nice interface. Nice organization of categories using a drop down menu . . . and SO MANY UNITS . . . even some I've never heard of!! Can't believe this one's free.
