Interface Redesign:If you have used TomeRaider before this version you will be surprised by the change in the interface. Its been totally re-designed. We think it looks better and works better.

Much Better Compression:We have changed the TR Palm file format to a new compression method. This gives us TR Palm files that are 15% to 30% smaller than the last version (These are now smaller than the standard TR files).

Improved Text Formatting:At long last, TomeRaider Palm now supports, Bold, Italic, Underline and List formatting. Hyperlinks and "searched text" are also properly displayed.

Aroma Search Acceleration:In the previous version of TomeRaider searching through the page text was, pretty slow. In TR 2.8 we have introduced the Aroma search algorithm, which can make searching text up to many times faster than when not using Aroma. There is a size increase with the Aroma search accelerated files. This ranges from about 5% to 20% depending upon how much acceleration you want and the textual structure of the file.

Background Page Caching:Hopefully you wont even notice this new feature� apart from when you see that large pages of open in an instant. This is because TR is loading the page in the background while you read. You can still navigate through the pages or change pages�.

Smooth Auto Scroll:OK, so TomeRaider is primarily a reference viewer but its shocking how many people use it to read novels and such like. Aiming to cater for these users, we did a lot of research into reading ergonomics. What we found is that automatic page scrolling is the most comfortable way to read a handheld text, but it needs to work right. The new Auto Scroll system is pixel smooth and very easy to tweek. We have also allowed for the page dragging to work when auto-scrolling, so its ideal for quick adjustments of the page.

Card Support:TomeRaider no longer needs special versions of the files to run from card.
