Reduces time in transfer of the critical data either by direct printout with PalmPrint to most IR printers or by transfer with one HotSync to a Windows desktop computer
CodeDoc® is a complete Palm PDA code blue documentation tool
that keeps tract of codes on your PDA organizing them by date and time. User can view codes prior to HotSync and do limited editing on the PDA before HotSync to add missing data by tapping the silkscreen menu to bring up a list of all prior codes on the PDA not yet transferred. Through CodeViewer, the Windows desktop companion that is also part of the package, CodeDoc keeps tract of basic outcomes and organizizes the codes by date and time. Also from the desktop program the user may edit or customize the drug data base or create a totally new drug database that may be then uploaded back to a Palm PDA via HotSync. So CodeDoc may be kept up to date by the user.
CodeDoc directly produces a printed report, so CodeDoc eliminates dictation and typing time.
Elapsed time is always visible to the user. From preferences, a user may not only elect to have to military time representation but also elect to have clock time or elapsed time in the title bar of every screen.
Number key pad appears on every screen that requires numeric data entry. One tap selects the number. One tap removes a number. Time is not lost in Graffiti entry or tapping from a Palm keyboard. Every attempt has been made to eliminate handwriting, Graffiti or keyboard entry to save data entry time.
Each medication is assigned a default reassessment time that may be edited at the desktop from CodeDoc¿s drug database. CodeDoc keeps tract of each unique medication administration and calculates approximate total dose in real-time based on documentation. A user simply selects a medication from the alphabetical list of medications. This medication list on the PDA may be changed or created or customized by CodeDoc¿s desktop companion drug database. With one HotSync the drug database may be transferred to a PDA. By design CodeDoc¿s drug database was created so it could be easily up dated and customized by a user or a group of users and then quickly transferred to a PDA.
One tap of the CodeDoc [Info] button from the medication order screen will show the user basic adult, pediatric, and geriatric drug doses.
One tap of the CodeDoc [Info]button from a rhythm assessment provides a basic management for that rhythm.
CodeDoc may be useful in mega code performance evaluations. The teacher or team member may document a leader¿s mega code performance and then print it out for review.
