  • Application Description
DiddleBug is an electronic PostIt note that you can set with an alarm that will remind you of appointments or other things. It is much quicker and easier to schedule an alarm in DiddleBug than in the built-in DateBook applicaton. Just scribble something on the screen and select the alarm time from a pop-up list. You can even assign a hardware button to automatically jump to a new, blank reminder for those hurried notes. Other features include snoozing and locking of reminders. This version also supports categories, a PalmOS-compliant list view, "private" records and sketches with attached text notes and titles.

DiddleBug is based on the Diddle sketching engine, so users familiar with Diddle will feel right as home using DiddleBug. It has the same hideable titlebar, and the same menu shortcuts. DiddleBug is licensed under the GNU GPL.

DiddleBug is currently available in the following languages:

    • English
    • German
    • French
    • Chinese (both traditional and simplified)
If you want to help translate DiddleBug into a language not yet listed, please contact Peter Putzer.

    What is IntelliBooger(tm)?
IntelliBooger(tm) extensions are plugin modules for DiddleBug that uses an advanced pick-and-flick algorithm to allow you to enter information into other applications, such as the built-in ToDo, DateBook, and Address apps, or DateBk3 and ActionNames. New plugins are being added all the time!

    • Pick - Select "Transfer" from the menu, and enter any text in the Pick Text Field along the bottom of the sketch
    • Flick - Use the Flick Menu to transfer your information to the application of your choice. DiddleBug is smart enough to use your previously entered alarm information!

Please refer to README.txt file included in download for additional information.

Best program of this type out there and the only one I have on my Tapwave Zodiac. But its missing the ability to use the entire 480x320 landscape and 320x480 portrait modes. Also it has Sort By Alarm Time and Sort By Name options but I did not see that it has a Sort By Date option. I hope that these features will eventually be added.

This is what PDA's are made for. Simple yet a great spplication. I've had DiddleBug since my old palm V. I now have a Tungsten C and this is still my most used application. And its freeware.

I first found Diddlebug when I got my first PDA two years ago. I've upgraded my PDA and the Diddlebug program. I use it on a daily basis and I find it great to keep me organized and on track. I like the quick scribble on the page, but I also frequently use the notes attached to them for greater detail. I consider this to be one of the most useful programs on my Palm, and I recommend it to everyone I know who has or is getting a PDA. This is absolutely one of the most useful programs around at any price!

Great program, used to have "Bug Me" but replaced this with DiddleBug. No more looking fir a piece of paper to write something down. The reminders are OK for me as well.

I have a lot of PDA software....I BUY a lot of PDA software, BUT I always insist on a freetrial first, the 30 day money back is OK, just not my style. I've been using Diddlebug for a few weeks, it IS dynamite, so tonight I decided to buy it.....But wait! NO MONEY REQUIRED! This is one nice, very simple, but very easy and effective piece of software. It just works easily and does what it's supposed to do! Ever Wednesday night, it's alams for me to assemble my wife's medications; every day it wakes me at 6:15 am; I scratch a simple note, set a quick alarm and it's DONE. Hey, I've got a lot of others that work well for alarms and notes, but this is TOTAL FIVE STARS.....SUGGESTION: fancy up the repeat, i.e. weekdays, weekends, a few other things, and CHARGE FOR IT!
