RxCalc (formerly
called DoseCalcPlus) is a stand alone program for calculating
medication doses
Easily
calculate medication doses:
Input:
Weight (kg or lb & oz)
Dose (mg/kg/day, µg/kg/dose,
etc.)
Doses per day, single bolus
doses
Medication strength or solution
concentration (mg/ml, etc.)
Output:
Dose displayed in mg, ml,
AND tsp (for liquid meds)
Round dose up or down to
nearest fraction of a pill or ¼ tsp for convenient dosing
Plus final dose is displayed
in mg/kg/day (or µg/kg, etc.) for the clinician to double-check the
calculations

Super program! All people work with peds should not go without it! I work for a family practice clinic and moonlight for a pediatric urgent care clinic. Excellent tools to calculate doses, esp with the formulary. Developer responds email very quickly. Excellent overall!!

Wonderful program, but new Augmentin dose (90 mg/kg) and preparation ("Augmentin ES" with 600 mg/tsp) not in yet. Thanks!
