iPanel browser is a standards compliant Internet browser that is designed and developed for Palm PDA's and Smartphones offering these advanced features:

    • True Browsing Technology: Unlike the initial solutions for the Palm, which used dedicated servers to present the web page in a special format, iPanel is a true browser with Javascript support. This means that rather than just displaying a web page, you can fully interact with a web page such as travel pages, banking, or stock pages.
    • Tri-View: Allows you to view the web page in:
      • Wrapping mode, which displays web page as a column.
      • Actual mode, that allows you to navigate around the web page using the stylus.
      • Miniature view that allows you to display the whole web page and quickly zoom in onto a section.
    • PDA-ready Content Display: automatically displaying PDA-ready page of an URL if available from the web site.
    • Efficient Palm user interface including:
      • Quick buttons allow easy browsing of the web
      • Quick link display that allows you to bookmark your most important web pages with a descriptive icon.
      • Easy web page text entry
      • History support.
      • Ability to save content locally for later use.
    • Internet Standards Compliant:
      • HTML 4.0 compliant, enabling you to access a wider range of web pages
      • Java Script 1.4: Allowing you to use interactive web pages, rather than just being able to display them.
      • SSL 3.0/2.0 and TLS 1.0 for security of your transactions and your personal information.
      • Supports JPEG, GIF and Animated GIF optimized for the capabilities of your display.
      • Cookie support.
      • HTTP1.1 support

I too, sort of like the software, and agree that an upgrade is needed. It doesn't crash my Palm LifeDrive as much as the Blazer browser did (still trying to get Palm to fix that glithch in their program). I do like the way it views pages, but the images aren't that great, images are better with a cpmpetitor. I would like to see the developers provide an update.

This was the fifth brower I tried on my Tungsten T and the *only* one that allowed me to log on properly to my University's wireless system (authenticating on a secure site when you open the browser). It's really only frozen when the battery on my wireless portfolio's been close to gone.

This software crashed my Treo 180 the first three times I tried to run it. Have yet to connet to the Internet. I don't think it will. I'm glad I didn't buy it. I guess I got my hopes up for nothing.

This is still the only half decent browser to support Javascript, but it is in dire need of an update...as it is only margianlly better than the beta or the precursor, EIS web, which I am currently using (in the ROM of my pda). It is a good product, but not enough to justify a purchase (or the extra RAM on my pda) at this time for me...

I purchased this software primarily to do my online banking as my Treo's Blazer browser does not support Javascript. Being that I am away from my PC alot my Treo with this browser would become indespensable.

I guess I was expecting a lot more, everything that the review had promised and so went ahead, took the plunge and purchased the software.

On my first few attempts of using this software I was very dissappointed - it did not display the Java pages to do my banking :( , which was the main reason I bought this software, and on a couple of occasions the software even crashed my Treo!

On further use of my Treo I notice I have reverted back to using the Blazer browser for simple weg pages, and hope, being that I purchased this software, I would be automatically entitled to the next upgrade...which hopefully, would do everything the developers promised???
