An amazing program that will completely analyze arterial blood gases for you! No longer will you be confused by ABG's. Not only will the program tell you whether or not you have a metabolic or respiratory acidosis or alkalosis, but it will also calculate expected PCO2 and expected HCO3 when needed, and will then tell you if there is a concominant acid-base disorder. It will even calculate Anion Gap and Delta-Delta if necessary (not sure what Delta-Delta is? Download the program and we will tell you!).
Impress your attendings and fellow residents.
Compiled into fast, efficient machine code using Quartus Forth.
Only needs 14K of your precious memory (no 50+ K math libraries required!).
    Updated Description:

V 2.2 - Bug fix for occaisional crash on Visors and some other Palm units, and Now will display ''Normal ABG Values'' correctly when all values are within normal limits.

This is very helpful program, easy to run and understand. It complain with the most part of literature abot blood gas analisys. I have used it almost a one year and I prefered about other BGA programs for Palm

Very helpful for sorting out a confusion blood gas, or when your brain is foggy after a rough night on call. I often turn off the H-H validation, however, as many of my ICU patients' gases have been "invalid".

This is a great little tool for medical students, non-internist/pulm residents (such as myself...!) and other healthcare professionals to use in interpreting ABG's. Version 2 has H-H calculation, which I found thinks most of the ABG's on my ICU pt's were "invalid," but this can be turned off in preferences. In the ICU I used this on avg once a day, more on some days. Definitely worth having paid the shareware for it, if, like me, you don't have every ABG nuance and meaning immediately remembered.
